Join Jacob Krueger for a presentation on how to manage the development process in a way that best serves your script

There are many challenges that stem from how writers and producers read scripts differently and communicate notes. The writer is often left with incomprehensive notes from a producer and plenty of “insider” feedback that only exacerbates the challenge. Well-intentioned notes can send a writer into a tailspin and may undermine the integrity of a script, while also threatening the writer-producer relationship.

In the presentation, Jacob Krueger will discuss :

  • Techniques for communicating your script at every phase of the process (from pitching, to development, to production) in a language that producers, agents, managers, and investors can understand
  • Methods to decipher that incomprehensible note from an executive and identify the underlying needs.
  • Approaches to saying “no” without being branded as difficult, resentful or un-collaborative.
  • Insight into understanding a producer’s underlying needs, attracting the very best talent, inspiring investors and saving the production costs at every step of the process
