Assistant Arts Professor in Cinematography
The Kanbar Graduate Film Program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts solicits applications for an Assistant Arts Professor of Cinematography commencing in Fall 2019. QUALIFICATIONS: The candidate must have a professional resume as a Director of Photography on feature films, TV commercials, and/or streaming content. Proven effective university-level teaching is desired. The candidate will be required to teach at each level of matriculation: Fundamental, Intermediate, and Advanced Cinematography. Candidates must have an ability to teach full high-definition digital movie cameras (ex: Alexa, RED, Sony), as well as 16mm and 35mm film cameras. Additionally, candidates must be fully able to teach the various techniques of studio and location lighting and camera movement found in feature films and commercials, as well as instruction of on-set protocol.
